10 February 2003 press release Read the latest my friend irma press release here. The band are currently in the studio mixing tracks for the new album.  It will be compiled and mastered for CD in April at Washoose Studios in Scotland, for a May release.

my friend irma album number two will be released in May 2003.  Watch out for more gig announcements very soon.  Cambridge bookings for 2003 already include The Alma (Saturday 15th February, details as below) and The Boat Race (Saturday 3rd May, details to follow)

my friend irma play The Alma, Russell Court Cambridge on Saturday 30th November. (map here) Entry is free before 8.30pm, and only £1 after that.  The band are nearing the end of their recording schedule, and should have the first new tracks mixed by Christmas. 

13 June 2002 mfyi album two

my friend irma are currently recording their second album, at their own studio 'The Tallow Room' near Newmarket.  The drum tracks and bass overdubs have now been completed, and the band will continue to add guitars and vocals (and other surprise sounds) over the summer.  (See the journal for more info, which has turned into a 'recording' diary of the sessions... )

25 Feb 2002 Leafeater support

'Leafeater' have been confirmed as the support for my friend irma at their Cambridge Boat Race gig on Saturday 16th March. This Bradford-based three-piece have supported Terrorvision on their last two national tours, and are well worth a look.  Tickets are available now at £4 (advance) from the Boat Race itself (01223) 508533 or £5 on the night.  Doors open @ 7.30pm

14 Jan 2002 Cambridge gig dates announced...

my friend irma are pleased announce the confirmation of two more Cambridge gigs. You can catch the band on Saturday 23rd February at The Alma (see map), and also on Saturday 16th March at The Boat Race.  In the meantime, the band are about to start recording sessions for their new album, which is expected to be out in the summer.

Still reeling from their knockout relaunch gig at The Boat Race last weekend, my friend irma are pleased to announce that they will be playing in Cambridge again, on Saturday 10th November at 'The Alma' in Russell Court. my friend irma are back. The website has been fully redesigned, with brand new sections including a journal page where band members will regularly contribute. Have a good look around and let the band know what you think, by either emailing at info@myfriendirma.co.uk or leaving a message in the guestbook.

my friend irma have two Cambridge gigs confirmed, and look forward to your support at them both. On Saturday 27th October they return to The Boat Race, and on Saturday 10th November they play at The Alma. Expect some new songs, new sounds and a few favourites.
