- CAMBRIDGE
band My Friend Irma made plenty
of friends at their triumphant
comeback gig at the Boat Race
last week.
They showcased new material
alongside old favourites from
their album, Tom Bunning & Mr
Late.
Now the group are hoping their
next gig will help another old
Cambridge favourite to make a
comeback.
On Saturday they play The Alma in
Russell Court, which used to be
one of the biggest music pubs in
the city. As we explained in a
recent Nightlife feature, the
present landlord, Ryan
Trbojevich, hopes to recapture
those glory days.
The gig itself promises to be a
more intimate affair than the one
at the Boat Race, with the band
playing their full 90
minutes-plus set.
Entry is free and the gig starts
at 8.30pm.
In the meantime you can keep up
to date with the band on their
new website. Click on to
