  New season and new set

CAMBRIDGE live favourites My Friend Irma bounce back for a new season of gigs and a new set.

The group are promising a "fresh take on their tried and tested style", which should mean plenty of new material together with tracks from their album Tom Bunning & Mr Late.

Fans will be pleased to note the line up still boasts vocalists Jenni Thomas and Tom Kendon, as well as guitarist Guy Henderson, bass player Tim Glasswell and the "tatooed colossus" who is drummer Dave Morris.

The first gig will be at the Boat Race on East Road on Saturday with support from Cambridge band Jesus! and Wolverhampton wanderers and Yellowstone.

Doors open at 7.30pm and admission is £4 advance and £5 on the door.
